The Wishing Place is a child-friendly and inviting place where children with critical illnesses are encouraged to dream big, and serves as a space for the child to dream outside of hospital rooms and medical offices. The Wishing Place here in Sacramento has made history as only one of five Wishing Places in the world, so if the child is well enough to travel for their initial visit, we invite our wish families throughout the 45 counties we serve to begin their journey here with us. Our Wishing Room is where they begin to dream of wishes in four different categories; I wish to go, I wish to have, I wish to be, and I wish to meet.  Once that one true wish has been selected, they are given a key that opens the door to The Wishing Tower where the dream begins.
